“Imaginary friend Budo narrates this heartwarming story of love, loyalty, and the power of the imagination—the perfect read for anyone who has ever had a friend . . . real or otherwise.”

One of my favourite books of all time. I was looking for a book that might be in a similar genre as mine, She Named Me Wolf, and this is it. A boy struggling in the world and his imaginary friend caring and protecting him - but in this book, it's genius that it's told from the perspective of the imaginary friend. I found this book scary, funny, whimsical, heartbreaking, and I couldn't wait to keep reading and turning the pages. I couldn't help but think this would be an amazing movie with all of the technology today - bringing Budo and Max to life, as well as the other imaginary friends, was genius by Matthew Dicks. Highly recommend,
