‘Woman. Witch. Myth. Mortal. Outcast. Lover. Destroyer. Survivor. CIRCE.’

I loved this book. Based on the intriguing and fantastic stories I remember for university classes on classic Greek mythology, and written in a more modern, contemporary style, the novel keep me interested and fully invested until the very last word. The character of Circe is amazing - a true heroin and feminine role model. The author does a fantastic job of immersing the reader into the mind and environment of the characters, resulting in a real page turner that I didn't want to put down - or finish! This was my first book by Madeline Miller and won't be my last. Her writing style and storytelling skills are perfection.
