LOL romp around the galaxy!

Big 5-stars for A Quick Spin Around the Galaxy. A satirical novel about an average 'millennial' who is randomly picked by a galactic group of aliens to save humanity. To quote the author's summary because it's excellently written: It's a 'fast-paced adventure that provides a galactic perspective to the problems we're facing on Earth, and offers a glimpse of the opportunities that await us if we can ever figure out a way to get off our planet and join the intergalactic community.' What I enjoyed most was the HUMOUR! Yes, I LOL'd every 2-3 pages, totally immersed in Jake's adventure and enjoying all the intergalactic stops as Jake tried to gain votes from the committee to save Earth. His stops, meeting different types of beings, reminded me of some parts of AVATAR and other parts of CLASSIC STAR TREK and Captain Kirk. Hilarious book with a strong message about humanity and how we operate on our planet. This book would be good enough to read in English Literature classes to be discussed - it has that many 'double-meanings' and 'depth', like Jonathan Swift did so well many years prior. I HIGHLY recommend.
