‘WHAT HAPPENS WHEN KATORI THE PITBULL IS ACCUSED OF A CRIME HE DIDN’T COMMIT? WILL FACTS OR FICTION WIN THE DAY?’
‘Poo and Order’ is an excellent book for teaching children about the difference between fact and fiction, the importance of truth, and it even inspires discussions about bias and prejudice. Written by an attorney and featuring engaging illustrations, the story is simple yet enjoyable, while also addressing important themes that are both memorable and easy for children of all ages to understand. Recommended for ages 6-10, I believe that children as young as 4 would also enjoy reading it with an adult. With guidance from an adult, young readers can learn to distinguish between fact and fiction, understand the importance of telling the truth, and appreciate the value of avoiding assumptions and relying on objective evidence rather than preconceived notions. And, let’s be honest, solving a mystery around a type of dog that took a poo in someone’s yard with a cat attorney with one eye is a funny concept. Highly recommend.
